A Pearson test taken entirely on a computer, with automated scoring. Many tasks assess two skills at once, such as listening and speaking.
PTE Academic assesses Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing in a test taken entirely on a computer. Scoring is automated and was developed from the work of human raters.
Many tasks measure two skills at once: repeating a sentence you heard counts toward both Listening and Speaking. That is why the test is organized into three parts rather than four separate sections.
About 2 hours on a computer, in sequence with no scheduled break. The time for each part varies within these ranges.
